If you are experiencing severe back pain, you may be in need of a herniated disc treatment. A herniated disc can cause extreme levels of discomfort, making it difficult for someone to bend, twist, lift or even remain comfortable when walking around. To help reduce this level of discomfort or pain, we offer a non-invasive treatment in our clinic.
It is important to find the right provider to perform a treatment in the correct way to expedite healing, rather than prolonging the process.
OUR HERNIATED DISC TREATMENT
There are multiple aspects to our treatments and what we recommend is going to be based on the individual needs of the patient. With that in mind, here are some of the treatments we offer:
TOUCH THERAPY
We work to move the spine into the correct alignment using touch therapy that takes place on the surface of the skin – no cutting or incisions necessary.
DECOMPRESSION
By decompressing the spine, we can create some room between the discs to alleviate the pressure.
MASSAGE
When combined with touch therapy and decompression, massage can loosen muscles that are creating tension after the initial injury.
PHYSICAL THERAPY
It is important to strengthen the muscles so the back does not become injured again.
Some patients find that after a couple of adjustments and decompression sessions, they begin to feel immediately better. Pain is decreased, mobility is improved and so is the quality of life as patients begin to feel normal again. The number of appointments that are necessary to complete the treatment will be based on the condition of each patient’s spine.
Some feel better right away while others need to receive treatments for six months or longer. We will understand how many treatments are required once we see how the body responds to them.
BENEFITS OF A NON-INVASIVE HERNIATED DISC TREATMENT
When suffering from back pain, some patients seek out treatment to alleviate it and are even willing to consider surgery. We do not recommend this. Surgery should be used as an absolute last resort and after all non-invasive solutions are exhausted.
A non-invasive solution is easier to recover from, has fewer risks of complications and is better for the body over all. If the body is already suffering and in pain, introducing surgery to that equation will only increase the recovery process and make it more likely that the body will be traumatized.
VISIT OUR CLINIC AND FEEL BETTER
A herniated disc can be incredibly painful but is not something that you have to live with. To begin the healing and recovery process, call our clinic and schedule an appointment. When you come in, we will conduct an examination to determine if this is the cause of the discomfort you are feeling or if there are other issues with the back or spine that need to be addressed.
In some cases, more than one issue is present and we want to address everything that could be leading to your discomfort. Next, we will create a treatment plan that can be used to improve your health and treat your herniated disc. To get started, call our office and schedule an appointment.
